Paisley, Driving Without Insurance
Our client was charged with driving without insurance contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988. We went to trial on 15 May at Paisley Justice of the Peace Court. After a series of successful objections to the admissibility of key evidence, the Crown conceded the case after the first witness and our client was found Not Guilty. Our client was delighted as he had 6 live points on his licence and faced a potential 6-month ban from driving under totting-up legislation if convicted of driving without insurance.
